Film: "Hunger"
Presenter: Dr. John Countryman, Irish Studies and film studies scholar.
Choices will highlight films about Irish history, the work of James Joyce, and the sectarian conflict known as the "Troubles." That portion will begin with the Easter rebellion, The War of Independence and the Irish Civil War, terrorism during the late 60s through the mid-90s, and the reconciliation efforts after the cease-fires and the Good Friday Agreement.
