Rome Community HeART Project

We've got a new look this year!

The Rome Area Council for the Arts (RACA) & Redmond Regional Medical Center  are teaming up again for the 6th annual Rome Community HeART Project! During the month of February 2019, a large public art display will be installed at the Town Green on the side of the 3rd Avenue Parking Deck in celebration of National Heart Month.  Local artists, art classes, business, non-profits and community groups can showcase their talent and interpretation of what heart health means to them. This month-long public art experience celebrates the local artists and organizations that bring creativity to our city while also raising heart health awareness. This year we are shaking things up a bit and trying something new! Artists will be provided with a 20x24 canvas and encouraged to use whatever mediums and materials they want to transform the piece. Each piece will then be photographed, enlarged to 42x48 and installed on the side of the parking deck forming one large community inspired art installation. There will be an exhibit in a different location of the original pieces as well!
