About the artist
E. Wright Ledbetter is a self-taught photographer from Rome, Georgia, and born in 1967.
The University of New Mexico Press published his book, Cuba: Picturing Change in 2002, which was nominated for the Golden Light Book Award given by Maine Photographic Workshops. Through this project Wright was also nominated for the Infinity Award given by the International Center of Photography in New York.
He was the winning team leader and co-designer of “Porto Futurus: The Gateway to Rome,” which was sponsored by RACA and received grants from the Georgia Department of Community Affairs and the National Endowment for the Arts.
His photography is a part of the permanent collection of the Museum of Contemporary Arts of Georgia, as well as numerous corporate and private collections.
Wright is a graduate of Darlington School and holds a B.A. from Washington and Lee University and a M.Ed. from Vanderbilt University.
